PLASTIC PARADISE - MELISSA POP UP STORE

Plastic Paradise was a unique shopping experience for international shoe brand Melissa at the new Panamericana Hostel in Casco Viejo, Panama. Here it is unveiled for you with an exclusive behind the scenes exposé.
Plastic Paradise was an event that aimed to consolidate Melissa’s brand values which promoted design and plastic, with the goal of bringing awareness of fashion, art, recycling and music in a candy store inspired theme, blending an exciting artistic and shopping experience.

Inspired curation of recycled materials, thinking outside the box and a hands-on production team working behind the scenes made the event a complete candy store adventure. Forgotten little treasures came alive with the help of creative ideas and some paint. The level of attention to detail, decor and music communicated Melissa's brand values to the public.

The event was held over three days with the opening party by invitation only including press, media, bloggers, VIP’s, fashionistas and trendsetters. The second and third days were open for anyone to enjoy and men, women and children were all welcome.  Guests enjoyed shopping the Melissa ‘Plastic Paradise’ collection in a customized candy style showroom within the newly opened Panamericana Hostel in Casco.
There was also the opportunity for guests to receive makeovers from sponsors Vanity Studio, photo shoots from Art Spaces, makeup sessions from Mica Bella Cosmetics, guests indulged in candies provided by Wonka and drinks from Heineken, Perrier, Kettle One & Nuvo from the ‘Plastic Lounge’ bar and also from the ‘Tropical Plastic Paradise’ Brazilian themed rooftop party.
Artists Georges Don (Paris), Rolo de Sedas (Panama) and Jacqueline Brandwayn (Colombia) contributed to the art installations and decoration of the event. Music was played by Liz Moreno in the downstairs bar and Diego Bowie for the rooftop party.

The Melissa shoe was born out of a love for where art, design, technology and
sustainability meet. For this reason, Miss Moss Productions took
this concept and core brand values and incorporated this into the Plastic Paradise
event in the new funky art boutique hostel, Panamericana in artistic Casco
Viejo.
"We don't do 'events'; we curate luxury brand experiences. Desirable, interactive, always with a purpose, our experiential activity is designed to deliver emotional connections with the brand, with impressive results".
"What I enjoyed most about creating the Plastic Paradise event is the artistic and creative freedom to create a truly memorable experience for all to enjoy. One that will remind us of our childhood as we enter into an artisticcandy store inspired settingbursting with fashion, art, music, drinks and great people to share it with. We worked hard to ensure there were many details to the event for all to enjoy and appreciate to create the overall brand experience". (Miss Moss)
