This Summer/Spring 2012 the runways are showing glimpses of pastels, sportswear, structured floral print pieces, the
time machine (20’s – 60’s styles meets alternative
sophisticated woman) and collars are everywhere and look like they are here to stay a while.
Neons,
Pastels, Mint, Peplums and Tangerine are the colours to paint your spring outfits and even
your hair and nails. Its a season to take some risks and experiment with new
styles, prints, textures, colours and to get adventurous with your looks.
We
want to introduce you our favorite inspirations and strongest trends of this season.
Inspired by the soft colours of summer sunsets, sweet sorbets, ice creams and fine pastries enjoyed during sunny days. Vintage feminism and nostalgia also gives character to this trend.
Styling tip: You don’t necessarily need to wear all pastels together in order to wear this trend you can color block, or mix some pieces in pastel tones to create a more fun outfit, or just one piece to add some color to your basic favourite pair of jeans or with high waisted leather shorts to get a more edgy look.

Patterns + Prints
More than your typical floral, its a collage of floral colourful prints, like an abstract painting. Spring is all about flowers, from very romantic styles to total floral looks. Wear them in your hair (head bands) San Francisco style, handbags, shoes, jackets, skirts, pants, and nails.Styling tip: For a more alternative look, try out more tropical inspired prints, how about digging out your uncle's Bermuda shirts and shorts, with those original Hawaiian prints? take them out and hit the beach. If you are not into full flower power prints, just add one floral print at a time like a back pack or doc martens, for a more urban look.
Blue Crush
Just imagine your life in the depth of the ocean, where outfits were created through inspirations from all sea creatures and magic from marine life. It’s a grown up, sophisticated mermaid-like dream wardrobe. Delicate, sexy and feminine all at once.On the other hand it’s a
wardrobe ready to make a trip to Australia or the Caribbean, were blue oceans, sunshine and surf mix all together to enjoy the power of the tropical prints
and ocean colors.
Designers
such as Alexander Wang, Stella McCartney, Jeremy Scott initiated this trend seasons ago, now this season it has returned and we are pretty sure it's going to stay for a while.Hip hop and urban artists wear hints of this trend giving it the right street look with brands such as Adidas, Reebook, Nike, Lacoste among others, but this Spring season 2012 it will be part of most fashionistas' wardrobes.
Styling tip: To create a more sophisticated and casual-chic look, try it with more soft colors such as pale grays, or black pieces adding a bit of color with big, geometric and colorful accessories and high heels. Mix up XL tees and sweaters with light silk skirts (add a belt) or just team up with your favorite pair of leggings and skinny jeans (color pants are welcome!)

A Master Piece
There’s a fine line between art and
fashion and this season illustrates the perfect blend and harmony between the two. There are many
kinds of prints this season, so you can select the one which best matches your personal style. There are those combined with pop colors to look fun and funky or for more effortless and organic looks, mix
prints with neutrals.
Styling tip: If you want to play safe and classic select flowers and polka dots. Geometrical shapes and graphic prints will immediately create a more trendy vibe. If you want to take some risks, it’s a
season to feel free to mix and match prints and become as creative as
you can, clothes are the new canvas!
Electric Feel
Neon brights are presented in a range of looks,
whether mono-chromatically,
color
blocking or gentile touches of it in accessories, featuring graphics and prints. The neon trend is all about fun, it gives an
immediate funky vibe to any style either chic, elegant, casual or urban and
it's a favorite for the most alternative styles, it is a trend you can mix &
match with any type of look.
Crop Top + High Waisted Combo
For a chic-casual cool look combine crop tops
with your favorite pair
of bell bottoms that were in the back of your closet since the last season, add
a scarf or a big floppy hat for a more trendy look. For a more relaxed, but still
chic look wear high waisted
shorts in bold colours or
with some seasonal print.
If you are into a more urban look then
wear it with some grunge accessories and your favourite high waisted denim shorts.
Statement Collars
Peter Pan collars are other favorite of ours, they kind of remind us of our grandma's wardrobe, kid's clothing and even cartoon outfits from past decades.
On dresses, sweaters or blouses it adds an original edgy touch to your whole look and you can experiment with looks from sweetheart darling to Twiggy's mod look.
